Started the company in 1983. He has been in the landscape industry for 37 years.

Phil’s responsibilities are client satisfaction, contract administration, capital equipment procurement, labor relations, and business development.
Larry Kahler

Controller

Was in the industry for 30 years as a Controller before joining Twin Oaks Landscaping in 2015. Larry has a BS in Accounting from University of Illinois. In the past Larry has done public accounting, Audits, all with a focus on construction.

Larry prepares and maintains all aspects of our accounting process including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. He is also in charge of insurance and human resources.


Sharon Minassian

Accounting

Has been in the Accounting industry for 29 years. Sharon has a BS in business from Loyola University and is CPA. She has been with Twin Oaks Landscaping since 2016 working in our accounting department.

Sharon’s responsibilities include invoicing, preparing AIA’s , certified payroll and involved in the daily accounting activities.


Patricia Knight

Accounting

Has been in the construction industry for 33 years. Patricia has an Associate in Accounting from Joliet Junior College. Prior to Twin Oaks Landscaping she was a project manager and involved in construction management. She has been with Twin Oaks Landscaping since 2016 working in our accounting department. She holds certifications in OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR.

Patricia’s responsibilities include accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and job costing.



Business Development

Has been in the landscape industry for 36 years. He was in the industry for 11 years in Sales, Marketing, and as an Operations Manager before joining Twin Oaks Landscaping in 1993. During his time with Twin Oaks Landscaping Jim has worked with Commercial Sales, Residential sales, estimating, and project management.

Jim’s responsibilities include client satisfaction, customer development, sales marketing, commercial sales, coordinating projects with owners and our Project Managers.

Commercial Sales

Has been in the landscape industry for 22 years. He was in the industry for 17 years as Superintendent, Estimator, and Project Manager before joining Twin Oaks Landscaping in 2011. Steve has a BS in horticulture from Ohio State University and has worked as a project manager and in commercial sales since joining Twin Oaks Landscaping. Steve has his OSHA 10 and 30 hr certification. Steve is a certified Hydrotech green roof installer and certified in rigging.

Steve’s responsibilities include client satisfaction, customer development, commercial sales, coordinating projects with owners and our Project Managers.



John Kolkman

Director of Maintenance

He has been in the industry for 25 years as Account Manager, Landscape Sales and Construction Manager before joining Twin Oaks Landscaping. He joined the team in 2015 to take over as Director of Maintenance. John has his OSHA 10 hr certification.

John’s responsibilities include customer development, landscape management sales marketing, maintenance sales, Snowplowing sales and coordinating between clients and our Maintenance Supervisors.


Jose Cortez

Account Manager

Has been in the landscape industry for 3 years. He was in the financial industry for 13 years as account manager prior to joining Twin Oaks Landscaping in 2016. Jose has a pesticide operator’s license and is OSHA 30 certified.

Jose’s responsibilities include client satisfaction, overall landscape site evaluations, scheduling, and property enhancement sales.



Design & Estimating

Has been in the landscape industry for 14 years. She has been with Twin Oaks Landscaping since 2004 first as an intern with Twin Oaks Landscaping and then as a designer, estimator, sales and currently head estimator. Carol has a BA from the University of Hawaii in art and a degree in Ornamental Horticulture from College of Dupage.

Carol’s responsibilities include Managing the estimating department as well as downloading plans, researching products, landscape design, take offs for estimates, and producing and distributing estimates.
Peter Rundo

Estimator

Has been in the landscape industry for 3 years. He had been with Twin Oaks Landscaping since 2014 as an Intern assistant and in 2016 became a full time estimator in the estimating department. Peter has his Associates of Applied Science from College of DuPage and is currently finishing up with his horticulture certificate.

Peter’s responsibilities include downloading plans, researching products, take offs for estimates, and producing and distributing estimates.





Manny Avalos

Estimator

Has been in the construction industry for 13 years as a general contractor. He specialized in estimating, project management and sales before joining Twin Oaks Landscaping 2016. Manny holds an OSHA 30 card.

Manny’s responsibilities include downloading plans, researching products, take offs for estimates, and producing and distributing estimates.

Has been in the landscape industry for 18 years. He was in the industry for 12 years as an Operations Manager and Project Manager before starting with Twin Oaks Landscaping in 2011. Jason has a BS from Western Illinois University and has worked as an estimator and as a Project Manager. Jason has his OSHA 30 hr certification.

Jason’s responsibilities include all construction operations including client and employee satisfaction, project management, subcontract administration and coordinating projects with crews, salesmen, and client’s project managers.
shane edwards

Project Manager

Has been in the landscape industry for 14 years. He started with Twin Oaks Landscaping in 2003. Shane has a BA from Monmouth College and has worked as a laborer, foreman, superintendent, estimator and now as a Project Manager. Shane has his OSHA 10 and 30 hr certification. He is NCMA and ICPI wall and paver installer. Shane is a certified Hydrotech green roof installer and is CLT certified.

Shane’s responsibilities include client and employee satisfaction, project management, subcontract administration and coordinating projects with crews, sales and client’s project managers. Shane is also in charge of our Safety program.


Anthony Jones

Project Manager

Has been in the landscape industry for 6 years. He was in the industry for 2 years as an Maintenance foreman and Enhancement Foreman before starting with Twin Oaks Landscaping in 2011. Anthony has an Associates in Applied Science with a Horticulture Focus from College of Dupage and has worked as an estimator and as a Project Manager for Twin Oaks Landscaping. Anthony has his OSHA 30 hr certification.

Anthony’s responsibilities include client and employee satisfaction, project management, subcontract administration and coordinating projects with crews, Sales and client’s project managers.
David Roach

Purchasing

Has been in the landscape industry for 31 years. He was in the industry for 29 years involved in nursery management, material coordination, sales, and as a Purchasing Manager before joining Twin Oaks Landscaping in 2015. David is an Illinois Certified Nurseryman.

David’s responsibilities include material procurement, submittals, inventory pricing and coordinating with sales and project managers for material availability.






Luis Vasquez

Has been in the landscape industry for 18 years. He was in the industry for 3 years as an maintenance foreman and construction foreman before starting with Twin Oaks Landscaping in 2001. Luis has worked at our Oswego holding yard as manager maintaining up to 10 acres of plant material. He has also been in charge of our plant production. Luis is currently our dispatcher working with the yard manager, our truck drivers and purchasing to make sure that materials get to our jobsites.


Kevin Johnson

Superintendent

Kevin has been providing superior customer service to his clients for over 15 years. His experience as producer and business owner makes him an invaluable and respected Superintendent on the Twin Oaks Team. He oversees multiple maintenance crews which include landscape site evaluations, scheduling, and client satisfaction. As Snow Commander he oversees all snow removal operations working 24/7 to ensure our client’s sites are safe and accessible in the winter months. He holds a certification for OSHA 30 and has a herbicide applicators license.




Lauro Guerrero

Superintendent

Has been in the landscape industry for 18 years. He was in the industry for 10 years as a maintenance foreman, maintenance superintendent, and enhancement manager before joining Twin Oaks Landscaping in 2008 to work as a maintenance foreman and then a maintenance superintendent. Lauro has his OSHA 10 certification.

Lauro’s responsibilities include client satisfaction, overall landscape site evaluations, scheduling, and coordinating with Maintenance Sales and Twin Oaks maintenance foremen.
